I’m drawn to the quiet power of spaces.  The way they hold us, shape our moods, and open pathways to connection.  There’s something deeply moving in the way light spills across a surface, how form and material can speak without words, inviting us to feel, to remember, and to belong.

I believe in design as a shared journey.  One that unfolds through trust, dialogue, and mutual respect.  I’m curious about the unseen layers that give life to a place:  the memories it invites, the relationships it nurtures, the grounding it offers in a shifting world.

My hope is to create spaces that feel deeply human, - attuned to presence, open to story, and alive with meaning.

2025 06 03Mauri Ora Tai PariI live in Aotearoa New Zealand, an island nation where the Māori are the Indigenous people.

Their worldview, shaped by the land and sea. It feels quietly grounding, like a soft cleansing of the heart.

Take the shoreline.

Each of us carries mauri, a life force that shifts like the tide.

In te ao Māori, the movement of the sea reflects our kare-a-roto, - not just emotions, but dreams (moemoeā), intuition, and inner stirrings. The ocean doesn’t resist the pull. She follows her rhythm, offering space to whakawātea, - to clear, to rest.

Standing at the water’s edge, I’ve come to feel that rhythm.

A quiet reminder that it’s okay to be as I am.

To move with whatever I’m carrying.

And to find, in that rhythm, a little space to breathe again.
